Varicose veins usually do not go away on their own. They are a chronic condition caused by weakened vein walls and damaged valves, and those structures don’t naturally repair themselves.
- They may stay the same for years
- They can gradually worsen (more swelling, pain, visible veins)
- In some cases, symptoms may improve temporarily, but the veins themselves remain
- But in some cases, like pregnancy women, they get the varicose veins with in their pregnancy, so they can gradually cure after their pregnancy.
We can’t reduce the disease gradually without medication and proper treatment, but we can manage the symptoms with some natural, habitual change and life style changes, some are the changes mentioned below,
Exercise gives relief of varicose veins while we are doing it. Walking, swimming, cycling, and other activities that engage your calf muscles squeeze the veins and propel blood upward.
Additional measures that manage symptoms:
- Propping your feet up reduces swelling briefly
- Weight loss decreases strain on leg vessels
- Limiting prolonged standing slows progression
- Avoid sitting longer period of time, instead of that we can take stretch breaks
- Maintaining proper diet can limits the unhealthy weight gain
- Last but not least avoiding smoking and drinking can helps to manage the disease.
These approaches can delay the worsening of varicose veins but they don’t completely cure the disease
